Explor(A)lqueidão'19 said goodbye this year with From Plant to Oil activity that took place last Sunday at Alqueidão's Circuit.
The workshop organized by Fernanda Botelho, was attended by 25 people, who got to know the method to extract and produce macerated oils, vegetables, essentials and some ointments; several homemade remedies that continue to be so useful today; and places where it is possible to buy several natural products, either to make home-made alternative to industrial products, or to buy finished products, such as shampoos, toothpastes, deodorants, soaps, among others, which contribute to a healthier and more sustainable life. Chemical free but also environmentally friendly.
Another topic addressed was spices, in their various applications and places where they can be found with superior quality.
At the end, the participants took with them a cream, an elixir and toothpaste made from 100% natural products during the workshop.
Fernanda Botelho is the author of Malva Silvestre blog, has several children's books published, which are recommended by the National Reading Plan, and is also author of books such as "Plants and Health" - a guide to home remedies; "A Handful of Healing Plants" and 7 annual calendars since 2010 on plants and flowers.
