On the 9th and 10th of July, the Historical Route of the Lines of Torres Vedras will host the third meeting of the Steering and Follow-up Committees of the NAPOCTEP project - Napoleonic Routes through Portugal and Spain.
On the 9th, the consortium partners will be invited to discover some of the heritage of the Lines of Torres Vedras and to experience the intersection between history, gastronomy and wines.
On the 10th, work meetings and presentation of the development of the RHLT - Association for Tourism and Heritage Development of the Lines of Torres will follow, as well as some partnerships developed with the private sector, around the tourist activity.
The project aims to contribute to the protection and enhancement of cultural and natural heritage, as an economic base of the cross-border region, since it focuses on valuing the abundant cultural heritage of the Napoleonic era, generating an attractive, differentiated, quality and sustainable tourism product that allows generating economic activity and employment in the region.
NAPOCTEP is being implemented under the INTERREG V - Spain Portugal program, involving a consortium of 8 beneficiary entities:
